Staff from accountancy and business advisory firm Moore and Smalley have snacked their way to raise funds for a local charity.
Staff at the firm’s Lancaster office have munched through crisps and chocolate bars and collected almost £250 for Lancaster based charity A.C.E. (Achieve Change & Engagement).
Moore and Smalley’s Sophie Marsden, who stocks the tuck box, together with Louise Wilkinson and Amy Adam, said: “We buy in bulk and sell the goodies to staff at a small profit. All the monies raised get collected up over time and then staff choose the charity that they would most like to support.”
Sally Temple, project Director at ACE, said: “Ace is a small charity based in North Lancashire that supports children, young people and adults to improve their emotional health, well-being and build resilience. Moore and Smalley’s fundraising will go towards helping more young people in the region with mental health and emotional issues.
“As a small charity we’re grateful for donations and we are always looking for new people to get involved and support our work”
