“Due to a significant increase in demand for our services and funding challenges, we are currently not processing new referrals.
The number of children and young people requiring support continues to grow and demand is currently exceeding the capacity our existing funding allows us to provide. To ensure we can respond appropriately to those already waiting, we need to review, assess and process our current backlog of referrals before taking new referrals.
We appreciate that this may be disappointing for young people, families and professionals seeking support, however you might want to try contacting any of the alternative providers listed below instead.
  • Samaritans on 116 123.
  • Childline: www.childline.org.uk
  • Call 0800 1111: get info and advice about a wide range of issues, talk to a counsellor online, send Childline an email or post on the message boards.
  • PAPYRUS is the national UK charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. Call 0800 0684141   www.papyrus-uk.org
  •  If you need urgent help with regard to your personal safety or urgent medical advice please contact the emergency services on 999 or go to your nearest accident and emergency department.
The increasing demand for A.C.E.’s services highlights the growing need for accessible mental health and emotional wellbeing support. If your organisation, business or community group would like to discuss funding, fundraising or other ways to support our work, we would be delighted to hear from you. You can contact us on 07468 600 903 (Mon – Thurs 10am – 6pm) or via admin@a-c-e.org.uk
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
The A.C.E. Team”
